A planting scheme for a large formal walled garden designed in a traditional style with the emphasis on using Roses while still retaining seasonal interest. A formal structure, which would looks good all year round, was created by the use of box hedging and topiary and the larger trees and shrubs. Within this structure an informal scheme of herbaceous perennials, ornamental grasses and roses provided an ever changing blast of colour through the summer months.
